Education Projects Co-ordinator School of the Humanities and Social Sciences
£31,406 – £40,927 per annum
Fixed term: limit of tenure applies
We are looking for an experienced, proactive individual to help us develop education provision in the humanities and social sciences, as part of a 10-year vision for the School. In this new and varied role, you will provide in-depth support to a range of education development projects across the School, including part-time routes to postgraduate study, learning technology, widening participation and quality assurance.
The role will involve working closely with networks in the School’s Faculties and Departments, in the wider University, and with external partners. This opportunity would be ideal for a self-starter who has the capacity to work across a range of projects with confidence and flexibility, engaging with multiple stakeholders.
In this role, you would be expected to develop and implement project plans: create and support working groups through meetings, consultation and networking; use evaluation skills to inform and plan; use interpersonal skills to build consensus; draw on your knowledge of Higher Education to suggest solutions.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a positive approach and an ability to work independently. You will be educated at least to first degree level or equivalent with broad experience of higher education, outstanding organisational, communication and interpersonal skills, and a sound knowledge of standard office software.
Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 5 years in the first instance.
Once an offer of employment has been accepted, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a basic disclosure (criminal records check) check.
Applications are welcome from internal candidates who would like to apply for the role on the basis of a secondment from their current role in the University.
We welcome applications from individuals who wish to be considered for part-time working or other flexible working arrangements.
