Position Description:
The Program Manager is responsible for the development and administration of management development programs for UCLA’s Office of Executive Education Programs (EE) delivered via in-person, virtual, blended and hybrid (simultaneous) formats. The Incumbent is responsible for program development, client/participant relations, financial analysis and management, faculty relations, vendor relations, and logistical implementation of a portfolio of approximately 12-18 custom and open enrollment executive education programs per year, serving approximately 700 professional and executive-level participants annually. The Program Manager works independently, employing strategic analysis to take actions and make decisions that support EE’s long-term goals. They are responsible for the creation of an optimal learning environment for participants and an optimal teaching environment for faculty.
Responsibilities include: the management and implementation of open-enrollment and custom executive programs, including determination of educational goals and development of program elements. Assess the effectiveness of faculty. Administer and execute all details associated with program implementation. Professionally represent UCLA Executive Education at meetings with corporate executives and sponsors, professional groups, and faculty to discuss new and continuing programs. Inspect, visit, and develop potential program sites. Implement cost effective processes. Understand the tenets of adult learning theory and provide analysis and input into curriculum and program design that improves the learning experience and enhances the reputation of UCLA Anderson. Form strategic partnerships with appropriate organizations. Independently and effectively handle problems related to programs, faculty, and participants and systematize the solution and problem-solving process for future occurrences. Develop and oversee financial budgets. Analyze costs, make and implement budgetary changes, and manage financial performance for portfolio of programs. Prepare and administer program budgets, with overall profit and loss, revenue and expense responsibility. Implement procedures to increase group and program revenue and net income. Achieve financial targets for all programs. Evaluate the profitability potential of prospective programs and find ways to improve financial performance with effective program budgeting. Ability to attend offsite client programs and client meetings at local, out-of-state, and international locations. Ability to attend and administer programs on the UCLA campus and/or through virtual platforms (Zoom, Teams, etc.)
