University of California Agriculture and Natural Resources Hiring for Disability Management Service Coordinator (Employee Rel Repr 4) Job at Davis, CA Full Time

Provides services to UC Agriculture and Natural Resources academics, staff, and program participants assuring consistent application of disability-related federal and state laws and University policies, contracts and procedures. Evaluates academic and staff employees with respect to the Interactive Process and Reasonable Accommodation when their work is impacted by a medical condition, illness or disability. Provides guidance and training and develops programs to promote workplace health, safety and wellness for UC ANR.

Provides advice, consultation, and union contract and UC policy interpretation to ANR managers and supervisors on disability management issues, including the Interactive Process, Reasonable Accommodation, Fitness for Duty Examinations, Reassignment and Medical Separations. Handles highly confidential and sensitive assignments that involve substantial complexity and require collaboration with ANR and UC leadership, including Employee and Labor Relations, Staff and Academic Human Resources, Vice Provost of Research and Extension, University Counsel, UC Davis DMS manager, ANR and UCOP Risk and Safety Services. Also collaborates with the University’s workers’ compensation Third Party Administrator, physicians, medical treatment providers, outside legal counsel, state and federal agency representatives.

Develops, maintains, and fosters wellness programs at UC ANR, including but not limited to local events, disseminating periodic wellness related communications and attending systemwide healthy campus initiatives to discuss challenges, successes and best practices.

This position is a career appointment that is 100% fixed.

Salary: Min $80,800 to Mid $117,100/annual

The home department is Human Resources. While this position normally is based in Davis, CA, this position is eligible for hybrid flexible work arrangements, for applicants living in the State of California, at this time. Please note that hybrid flexible work arrangements are subject to change by the University.
