University of Bristol Hiring for Faculty Education Administrator Job at Bristol, England Full Time

The role

We are looking to recruit a Faculty Student Administrator to the Faculty Education team with a focus on support for the case work associated with complex student referrals arising from Fitness to Practise, Fitness to Study and other student wellbeing procedures.

What will you be doing?

You will work as part of the Faculty team providing administrative support to academic and professional services staff responsible for the delivery of a range of student health and wellbeing, and academic governance activities.

You should apply if

• Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of applications, email, web and general office systems.
• Ability to work in a busy and demanding environment, under pressure at times; to produce accurate work to deadlines, with attention to detail, coping with often large amounts of data.
• Experience of assessing and responding to non-routine work queries and use of initiative to solve problems (or referring to line manager as appropriate), ability to use relevant systems and procedures to enable investigation of problems.
• Commitment to personal development and continual service improvement, particularly in relation to IT skills.
• Five GCSEs at level A-C, to include English and Maths OR vocational qualifications (NVQ 203, City & Guilds) or equivalent, plus some experience in a relevant role OR significant work experience in relevant role.
• Very good written and verbal communication skills; very good interpersonal skills; sensitivity to others’ points of view
• Ability to be discreet and protect confidentiality; awareness of relevant legal requirements (Data Protection Act, General Data Protection Regulations etc).
