Would you like to play a key role within the Student Advice team?
The Student Information Desk Adviser (Student Advice) is the first point of contact for students, staff and visitors accessing the Student Advice team. This role is an in person position based on the busy and expanding Moulsecoomb campus, but enquiries could come from any campus either over the phone, online using our dedicated Student Information Desk enquiry system or in person.
The key aspects to this role are to act as reception point for the Student Advice team and provide first level advice covering a wide range of subjects in particular Student Finance and university funds. You will be using your excellent communication skills to signpost more complex enquiries effectively to other departments and academic schools. You will also be required to make appointments for the Advisers and provide administrative support where needed. Working as part of a team you will be handling a range of enquiries related to student administration and support services, and advise enquirers on university policy, process and procedures.

• The ability to plan, prioritise and manage a range of work activities
• Knowledge to utilise resources to meet the needs of our service users
• The ability to communicate regulations and procedures, demonstrating sensitivity and diplomacy
• Confidence to work independently with a minimum of supervision and show initiative to resolve situations

Hours of attendance are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 10am – 3pm, 20 hours per week, during university academic term time only.
