Careers & Employability Student Assistant
The Careers and Employability Service aims to recruit a small pool of student assistants to work flexibly to support the delivery and development of its services. These posts provide an excellent opportunity for successful candidates to develop key employability skills, which are welcomed by employers, while delivering distinct aspects of the work of the Careers and Employability Service.
We are looking for enthusiastic and self-motivated students who are able to use their initiative, work flexibly and enjoy working within a busy and collaborative team environment.
The successful candidates will be able to communicate confidently with staff, students and employers, demonstrate an ability to multi-task, show attention to detail and work independently as well as collaboratively within the role.
Candidates must be committed to providing a high level of service and equal opportunities for all students in line with the Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services (AGCAS) code of ethics and the University’s policies on diversity and inclusion for all.
Salary will be at the appropriate point on the £18,342 – £19,133 per annum, £18,342 – £19,133 pro rata per annum and negotiable with placement according to qualifications and experience.
This position is available to students of the University of Aberdeen and therefore any work will be carried out in conjunction with that individuals studies. Therefore this position is available on a part time basis up to 15 hours per week.

This role is based in the UK and as such the successful candidate will be required to live and work in the UK.
The candidate appointed to this post may be eligible for homeworking on an occasional or regular basis. For more information please refer to our Homeworking Policy.
This post does not meet the minimum requirements for visa sponsorship under the Skilled Worker Route. We are therefore unable to consider applicants for this post that require sponsorship to work in the UK.
