The A Side: A Day in The Life
Responsible to the Label Finance Manager you will provide finance & analytical support within the central finance team. Working closely with record label finance teams to ensure smooth day to day running of finances. Applying knowledge and initiative to drive efficiencies and improvements in day-to-day transactions and reporting. Developing strong relationships with multiple other teams which interact with central finance.
The B Side: Skills & Experience
Be Analytical
- To drive efficiencies and standardisation of central finance tasks
- To provide insight and analytics of spend for use by management
- To manage and be point of contact for all central recharges across record labels
- To assist with month end duties for record labels
- Upload of ledger balances into the central finance system
- Forecasting – working with the label finance teams to accurately forecast artist spending
- Responding to ad hoc requests for analysis and reporting from labels
Be Administrative
- Become a key initial point of contact dealing with internal and external label finance queries
- Responsible for processing employee expense claims across record labels
- Accurate and prompt invoicing of recharges to inter-company and third parties
Be Operational
- Ensure smooth day to day running on central finance tasks
- Continually improve current processes across central finance and labels
Person Specification
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (particularly Excel)
- Strong communication skills
- Good organisation of self and others
- Proactive approach
- Attention to detail
- Flexible with the ability to work in a fast-paced team
