Overview:

Univers is looking for an experienced Accounting & ing Director to oversee our company’s financial ing and accounting activities, including finance system transformation, and ing into the CFO. The ideal candidate should come from listed technology companies with an auditing background and have experience managing an international team. As the Accounting & ing Director, you will lead our accounting and financial ing efforts, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, compliance with regulations, and timely ing to stakeholders. You will also play a key role in transforming our finance systems to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Role Title: Accounting & ing Director

Location: USA (Remote and/or West Coast preferred, or Malaysia)

Role & Responsibilities:

• Manage the preparation and presentation of financial statements and s, ensuring compliance with IFRS, and US SEC forms.
• Oversee the company’s month-end and year-end closing and ing processes and shared accounting services.
• Collaborate with the company’s external auditors to manage the audit process and ensure timely completion of audits.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Provide financial guidance to the executive team and other stakeholders, including analysis of financial data, forecasting, and budgeting.
• Manage an international accounting team, ensuring effective communication, training, and development of staff members.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations and best practices, and communicate these changes to the team and other stakeholders as appropriate.
• Continuously improve accounting and ing processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Lead the transformation of our finance systems, including the selection, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of new systems and processes.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required; CPA or equivalent professional certification preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant accounting and ing experience, preferably in listed technology companies and with an auditing background.
• Experience managing an international team of accounting professionals.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations, including IFRS, China GAAP and SOX.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and provide recommendations to senior management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial ing software.
• Experience with ERP systems, such as Dynamics preferred.
• Experience with finance system transformation, including the selection, implementation, and maintenance of new systems and processes.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in Chinese is a plus (interaction with accounting team in China)
