Position Summary
The Opportunity
Are you a passionate educator seeking a new direction in rural and remote areas of Queensland? We are seeking a dynamic Lead Early Years educator to join our Remote Area Families Service (RAFS) team in Emerald on a full-time basis.
RAFS is a mobile educational service which requires work and travel in a number of locations across remote Queensland. We implement and deliver mobile early childhood expertise and support families who are limited to accessing childcare or educational services in rural and remote communities.
Within the role, it incorporates Implementing/delivering early childhood programs remotely, Strengthening resilience and capabilities of families and children, Bridging gaps for network connections in communities, Referring families to support programs, Coaching and mentoring colleagues with effective leadership, Meet funding measurable and administrative tasks, and Contribute to a positive and valuable working environment.
This is not your typical day-to-day-early childhood job! This position will see you out and about in communities sharing your expertise and building relationships with families. You will implement a healthy work/life/balance, work collaboratively with fellow RAFS team members, and build collaborative partnerships with UCC programs. Please note: All travel costs are fully covered by UnitingCare. It is predominately delivered in remote locations, resulting in over 60% of the active role in travel and overnighting with families to provide a nomadic early childhood and education and care service, model.
What you’ll need
You will be a highly motivated and energetic person who has a passion for working with young children in an educational environment. You will be a team player, driven to develop your skills and grow in your field. In addition to the above you will also be required to have: · Minimum working towards or already hold a Diploma in Childrens Services or similar · Current QLD Manual Drivers Licence · Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card) OR ability to obtain · Current Senior First Aid/CPR, asthma and anaphylaxis Certificates.
