Back End Software Developer

· Translating architectural designs into infrastructure-as-code defined solutions.

· Collaborating with Product Owner, Developers, Testers, Data Lead and Cloud Engineers to define solutions

· Provide post-release and incident support

· Working knowledge of:

– Java, J2EE, Spring, Hybernate, JPA

– Python

– PostgreSQL

– Git/Swagger

– AWS Cloud computing

– Java, JavaScript, NodeJS

– REST APIs (Apigee is desirable)

– MongoDB

– AWS

· Working knowledge of agile ways of working

Cloud architectures and the ability to appropriately apply the relevant techniques e.g. AWS Well Architected Framework, Event-driven workflows.

Soft skills:

· Goal/outcomes orientated

· Quick learner

· A natural critical thinker

· Resourceful – can make things happen and find workarounds where problems occur

· Able to challenge stakeholders diplomatically but robustly when appropriate

· Can work independently with very little direction and as part of a team

· Is not scared of flagging problems and collaborating on a solution – we like problems, but love solving them

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: £475.00-£500.00 per day
