United Electronic Industries Hiring for Entry-Level Assembler Full Time

OVERVIEW:

United Electronic Industries Services (UEIS) is a small but quickly growing electronics manufacturing and assembly company with a very big future located in St. Thomas! You will be responsible for performing the assembly and soldering of components in the production of circuit board assemblies for our customers in the automotive, aerospace, petroleum, simulation, power generation, and other industrial sector industries. The ideal candidate will work with a team of approximately 15 other production employees who will provide support and training. Shift hours are 7a.m. – 4p.m. Monday through Friday.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ability to work from Engineering drawings, procedures, Bills of Material, and work instructions.
• Willingness to learn good soldering skills to include visual inspection to identify good and bad solder joints and perform solder rework as needed to attain conformance.
• Ability to learn IPC-610 and J-STD-001 for electrical assemblies.
• Oversee the cleaning process of assemblies. (Load/Unload Aqueous Machine and distribute boards to production stations as needed).
• Ability to learn via (OJT) On the Job Training in various production positions.
• Assist in other Departments as needed. (Shipping, Press-fit, thru-hole component preparation, depanelization station).
• Practice open communication between departments. Focusing on the smooth operation of the production line.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required due to government military contracts.
• High school diploma.
• Minimum of 5-7 years related experience preferred.
• Familiarity and/or certification with IPC-A-610 preferred.
• Prior ISO QMSR experience preferred.
• Possess a working knowledge of electro-static discharge procedures preferred.
• Working knowledge of Outlook email, Word, Excel, and other related computer skills preferred.

Actual starting rate will be commensurate with experience.
