United Electric Company (DBA Magic Aire) Hiring for Engineer, Mechanical – HVAC (BS in Mechanical Engineering) Full Time

United Electric Company, L.P. (DBA Magic Aire) is a locally owned and operated Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) manufacturer in Wichita Falls, TX. United Electric Company was established in 1932 and has been manufacturing Magic Aire branded HVAC products since 1945. We currently have an opportunity for the following position.

AREA OF EXPERTISE: Knowledge of HVAC equipment including refrigeration coils, hydronic coils, or air moving subsystems. Application of research and design to the planning, development, and testing of HVAC equipment from concept to production release.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

· Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited institution, in Mechanical Engineering.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· 2-5 years min of experience preferred in design and application of HVAC equipment including but not limited to self-contained unit ventilators, HEPA, high static, and rooftop air handlers, economizer systems, and fan coils.

· Familiar with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing and DFx methodologies.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities, multi-task, and complete projects on time.

· Ability to troubleshoot and collaborate effectively with other team members.

· Results oriented individual with emphasis on achieving overall team performance.

· Solid communication skills, both verbal and written across a diverse audience

· Energetic, self-motivated, hands-on, results-oriented approach to work

· Computer proficiency with commonly used business software such as Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and Powerpoint. Knowledge of Visual Basic a plus.

· 3-D modeling software proficiency, Solidworks required

RESPONSIBLITIES AND DUTIES:

· Develop Solidworks models and review design prototypes, assist and develop test plans, and finalize product design to facilitate mass production.

· Review design drawings and ensure compliance with Engineering Standard Work.

· Recommend best practices for solutions to meet business needs and assist with development and maintenance of Engineering Standard Work Instructions.

· Ensure project documentation and designs are in compliance with the Engineering and Regulatory standards.

· Develop product information packages including drawing specifications.

· Analyze new components, materials and technologies to evaluate functionality for new or existing products.

· Analyze product cost and develop Bill of Materials and Manufacturing Routings.

· Perform tolerance studies on components and assemblies for projects

· Develop engineering component and assembly drawings

· Execute Finite Element Analysis (FEA) on various components and assemblies

· Execute Design for Assembly and Manicuring (DFx) product components and assemblies

· Assist with developing, designing, and simulating heat transfer components and refrigeration systems.

· Participate in engineering and manufacturing design reviews to evaluate design concepts and make recommendations

· Coordinate with multidisciplinary product launch teams to facilitate product launch

· Maintain a positive working relationship with all levels of the organization

Pay: $31.00 – $36.00 per hour
