This position will analyze the supply chain processes to identify and recommend optimizations and improvements. This position will also maintain databases that compile and organize logistics information.

They will provide ongoing analysis in areas such as storage and warehousing, transportation costs, back orders, and delivery processes.

They will also be responsible for answering inquiries from customers, freight forwarders, and various other departments both internal and external.

Essential Functions :

• Develop, implement, and deliver against growth and profitability Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and Key Attributing Indicators (KAI’s).
• Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company policies and procedures.
• Analyze the freight market ensuring maximized profit and negotiating power at each transaction.
• Document, track, and the flow of materials and equipment to ensure items are being delivered in a timely manner.
• Responsible for development and revisions to best business practices related to logistics.
• Interacts with sales teams to optimize sales opportunities in the marketplace.
• Support and assist negotiations with vendors, carriers, and suppliers.
• Assist with analyzing vendor bids, rates, and costs.
• Investigating and resolving non-conforming products in a timely manner.
• Process logistics invoices and investigate questionable or incorrect charges.
• Handling inquiries that come through from phone and emails which is normally information on a product or order.
• Monitor inbound and outbound freight operation to establish timely delivery of packages.
• Process claims for damage, loss, and invoice discrepancies.

Required Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree plus 1-2 years of supply chain or transportation experience OR no degree and 2-4 years of experience with supply chain or transportation.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and statistical aptitude.
• Basic understanding of Quantum Control.
• Basic understanding of Lot Receiving, Regular Receiving, shipping, order control, cycle count, and stock check.
• Can read and interpret aviation industry trace paperwork, and operator types, recognize major OEM part number patterns, and industry-standard parts.
• Ability to research IPC / Av-Info in an investigative capacity.
• Can utilize the FAA website and other resources to verify airworthiness eligibility.

Expected Salary : $54,640 – $75,130

Skills :

• Communicate clearly and effectively internally and externally written and verbal.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment to ensure work is done in a timely manner.
• Must have a sense of urgency on matters of elevated importance.
• Basic negotiation and people skills.
• Microsoft Office suite, in particular Outlook.

Ph ysical Demands :

• Using primarily just the fingers to make small movements such as typing, picking up small objects, or pinching fingers together.
• Especially where one must frequently convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly, or quickly.
• Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.
• Movements are frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands, and / or fingers.
• Average, ordinary visual acuity is necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products or operate machinery.
• Sedentary physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activity of an administrative nature; sitting most of the time.

Working Conditions : This position will mostly be situated in an office environment.

Travel : Possible, minimal travel may be required.

Language : Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
