About the role

A unique opportunity to be instrumental in building the budgeting, reporting and business partnering function for an extremely fast growing, well funded, climate start up. You will work on the full financial picture, helping model UNDO’s P&L’s, BS and Cash Flow statements. No one day will be the same. You’ll report to the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis, and work across the business with particular focus on partnering with the Enhanced Weathering Operations Teams, which is the core of what we do as a company.

Role Responsibilities

• Coordinate the budget and forecasting cycles, supporting the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis

• Ownership of our core operational data, ensuring high data quality, integrity and accuracy
• Trusted business partner to the Enhanced Weathering Operations team ensuring integrity of data and extremely accurate forecasting of all our operational metrics
• Prepare and distribute management accounts to budget holders across the business
• Ensure the accounting team is consistently updated with operational changes to maintain accuracy in our reporting of Actual vs Budgets
• Work extremely closely with our operational platform build team to be the finance spokesperson to ensure the build caters for our data requirements
• Work with multiple operational teams on scenario and sensitivity analysis to enable good business decision making (eg commercial support on pricing, partnership analysis)
• Design interactive / insightful / automated reporting at multiple levels
• Build adhoc business cases for new opportunities and provide actionable insightful analysis to multiple stakeholders

About you

The role requires an experienced Financial Professional who is seeking a role where they can help shape the financial infrastructure within the business. The role requires an individual who is passionate about the world of startups, climate and biodiversity, this is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience and make a tangible long lasting difference.

Essential:

• Financial modelling experience and strong excel skills
• Are super organised and methodical – always seeking new and innovative ways to solve problems and embracing technology to make lives easier
• Analytical and spot the small stuff (have masses of attention to detail)
• Are naturally curious about new technologies, new business models and new industries.
• Are a strong communicator, are able to build rapport and strong relationships quickly.
• Thrive in a high-paced, small and growing environment.
• Happy operating remotely, taking ownership and comfortable with tons of ambiguity.
• Possess strong combined accounting and finance experience.
• Qualified ACCA/ ACA/ CIMA Accountant (+ 1 to 2 years experience)
• Experience of supporting members through sharing knowledge and expertise
• Are a proactive self starter with drive and ambition to succeed and help others do the same.

Desirable:

• Experience of working in a start-up environment
• Google Workspace and Xero experience
• Familiarity working within the sustainability sector

We are a remote company, however…

• We are looking for candidates based in and permitted to work in the UK
• If you wish to work out of an office, then we have a great shared working space in central London. We encourage everyone to come in once or twice a month just to connect in person and get to know everyone!
