Uncommon Schools Hiring for Talent Recruiter, Central Office Job at New York, NY Full Time

Location: New York or Newark

This role supportings and executes the selection process, from application to offer, for our central office hiring across functional teams and levels! They will use our ATS and existing systems, processes, and trackers to ensure a strong candidate and hiring manager experience by handling candidate engagement via applications, screening, sourcing, and interview prep!

Partner Management

• Leads candidate relationships from initial recruitment to offer, and enthusiastically communicates the benefits of working at Uncommon!
• Cares deeply about and can articulate a detailed understanding of our mission and can also articulate the importance of a good interview experience to that mission.
• Collaborates on building solid and clear communication with hiring managers and other partners.

Coordination of Hiring Systems and Processes

• Assesses all candidates via application review and screening; identifies and engages with strong candidates whose experience aligns with the needs of our organization.
• Partners with their manager to coordinate and support interview processes with the goal of ensuring candidates and hiring managers stay engaged and move through the application process efficiently.
• Collaborates with the Selection Team to continue to strengthen our hiring systems/processes, and to support hiring across regions for Uncommon as needed.
• Supports with Selection Team special projects and coverage as needed.

Tracking Hiring Data

• Ensures accurate data in all of our recruitment systems; analyzes data to identify and address trends in real time and propose updates to outreach and selection strategies as needed.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Ideally, within recruitment experience at a resource-constrained organization, education, or operations
• You enjoy finding the most compelling way to communicate to candidates, hiring managers, and colleagues.
• You like building systems and collaborating to achieve goals as efficiently as possible
• You understand metrics and how to utilize them to influence the decisions of those around you
• You can optimally lead multiple tasks and responsibilities involved in hiring for a variety of roles at multiple levels that span various functions
• You enjoy learning through experience and feedback, taking initiative to make improvements or tackle problems, and can learn quickly
• Bachelor’s degree required

Experience Required

• 1-3 years of work experience required
• Experience working in Recruitment within a competitive talent market preferred, but not required

Travel

• Local – meaning the role moves between offices or buildings regularly – will be in the office 2-3 times per week (though we are currently running all interviews remotely due to COVID until further notice).
