JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for greeting all patients/visitors by telephone or in person in a positive and cheerful manner. Schedules patient office visits and performs all sign-in and check-out procedures with a customer oriented focus. Coordinates all clinical phone calls and work schedules with the physician, physician assistant, and MOA staff. Performs other related duties as required.

Essential Functions

• Responsible for greeting patient/visitors by telephone or in person in a positive and cheerful manner.
• Schedules patient office visits and performs all sign-in and check-out procedures with a customer-oriented focus.
• Coordinates all clinical phone calls and work schedules with the physician, physician assistant and MOA staff.
• Maintain appropriate level of supplies for practice operation
• Maintaining up to date patient/insurance information

Qualifications

Education: High School diploma

Experience: Previous experience in customer service environment desirable. Previous experience filing insurance claims and collections experience.

Other: Computer skills; ability to interact positively with others; excellent verbal communication skills and problem solving techniques; extreme accuracy and confidentiality required.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Functional range of motion. Functional hearing and vision. Occasional lifting floor to waist and carrying of 5 pounds. May alternate sitting/standing positions as needed. Occasional walking. Frequent manual dexterity. Either hand may be used. Occasionally requires hearing whispered voice.
