The Data Engineering team enables other teams by creating the ecosystem upon which data processing and analysis are built. It is a small but integral team to Unbounce’s data-driven vision, with lots of opportunities to create high-impact solutions and collaborate with large parts of the company.

What you’ll be doing:
Enable our partners in Data Analytics, Data Science and Machine Learning by building Data platform solutions to solve modern data problems
Participate in the creation and review of solution designs and architecture
Educate and provide guidance to the wider organization on industry best practices
Develop, improve and support infrastructure for existing data solutions on our warehouses and event streams
Coordinate with other teams to deliver high-impact data solutions
We believe the ideal candidate will have experience in:
Building event-based stream architecture, using tooling such as Kafka
Building orchestrated/batch-based architecture, using tools such as Airflow
Deploying containerized applications, leveraging Docker and Kubernetes (or similar)
Writing Infrastructure as Code, using tools like CloudFormation or Terraform
Working with any of the major cloud-based technologies and platforms (especially AWS)
Working with a range of database types (SQL, NoSQL, Graph, etc.)
Implementing observability and monitoring of systems and processes
Developing and consuming synchronous and asynchronous APIs
Comfortable with shell scripts in Linux-based environments
Performance tuning and optimization of SQL queries
