The Role
Reporting to the Human Resources, Wellness, Health and Safety Manager, you will be primarily responsible for the coordination of Human Resource related activities including;
· Work closely with the management team to ensure a positive working environment and employee morale
· Partner with department managers in the development of workforce plans including recruitment/staffing strategies to optimize talent acquisition
· Implement and interpret Company policies and procedures; assist employees with HR-related questions and concerns, address complaints and investigate concerns
· Accountability to lead and participate in safety activities and audits (EAC Safety Group & JHSC)
· Coordinate completion of all training requirements and ensure records are maintained
· Facilitate Non-Occupational and WSIB claims management, including safe return to work programs
· Maintaining HR records in our HRIS system
· Managing the attendance program for your client group
· Assisting with special projects, company events, and other activities as required
Minimum Requirements
· 5+ years of experience in a hands-on Human Resources role
· Experience in a manufacturing environment and a post-secondary education is preferred
· You possess, or are working towards your CHRP designation
· Exceptional interpersonal skills as well as the ability to interact with confidence with team members and leaders
· Excel verbal and written communication skills
· Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
· Thorough knowledge and understanding of Ontario Employment Standards Act and all legislative requirements
· A broad knowledge of all relevant Human Resources and Safety legislation
· Experience with HR Systems, preference Dayforce
· Computer literacy is required, including experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
