Ultra Electronics Hiring for Junior Accountant Job at Adelaide Full Time

The Ultra Finance function leads the budgeting and forecasting processes and supports the strategy process, as well as managing performance against As the junior accountant you will support the Financial Controller with the internal and external reporting requirements, along with day to day support for the finance functions of the Company. The position will contribute to the overall efficient operation of the finance team and help the company be fully aware of its financial condition.

• Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
• Update accounts receivable and issue invoices
• Assist with AR invoicing and AP processing
• Management of Fixed Assets
• Prepare and submit monthly reports
• Assist the Financial Controller in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings
• Assist with Cash Flow Management and Bank Reconciliations;
• Assist with monthly General Ledger Reconciliations;
• Assist with monthly preparation of consolidated financial and management accounts, as well as, preparation of year end statutory reports;
• Assist with the preparation and lodgement of FBT, BAS and IAS;
• Assist with the monthly reporting to Cost Centre Managers;
• Assist with other accounting projects as required
• Participate in Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) activities to maintain a safe and clean work environment

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting, is required.

• At least two years’ post graduate experience is desirable;
• Experience in project-based organisations is diserable;
• Understanding and able to apply knowledge of IFRS and Australian Tax legislation;
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, relational databases, and ERP systems (preferably IFS);
• Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills with excellent attention to detail;
• Good communications skills, both written and oral; and
• Ideally experience in SME organisation.
