Ultimate Medical Academy Hiring for Continuing Medical Education Outreach Specialist Job at Remote Full Time

Purpose of the Position:
The Continuing Medical Education Outreach Specialist performs services for all duties related to the marketing and placement of educational programs of Med Learning Group (MLG), with a primary focus on live programs within new host medical institutions through the generation of ideas, creation of strategies, and formation of business plans to identify targets and implement marketing campaigns. The Continuing Medical Education Outreach Specialist will apply the use of their research, communication, and organizational skills, attention to detail, strong work ethic, self-discipline to work from their home, and foundation of teamwork towards administrative support and expansion of MLG programs.
The Continuing Medical Education Outreach Specialist for MLG reports to the Marketing Specialist.
Anticipated starting salary of $60,000; pay rate negotiable based on experience and qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage in outreach (via emails, phone calls, mail invites, etc.) to physicians’ practices, hospitals, medical schools, nursing associations, specialty societies, and similar organization types to market MLG’s educational programming.
• Design and implement new marketing strategies to procure new host institutions for the placement of MLG’s programming.
• Write reports, generate ideas, and form business plans to implement, which are designed to identify targets, successfully reach targets, and grow the business.
• Decide which contacts to procure, based on MLG audience and client expectations of HCP specialty and geographic targets.
• Research healthcare networks, academic institutions, medical associations, and private practices to narrow primary marketing target contacts. Dedicated weekly time in phone outreach.
• Create and maintain a database of said new target host/participant institutions, which database shall include demographic information that is easily searchable and actionable.
• Cultivate relationships with new and existing host institutions/associations to promote MLG’s programming at their facilities, to gather information regarding their educational needs, and to provide Marketing Department with increased options and avenues for growth.
• Update existing host institution database with new institutions as they come on board.
• Timely follow up with host institutions after each program to gather data and feedback, and to promote additional programs.
• Use own industry knowledge and judgement to handle HCP/institution/association inquiries, provide customer support, and creatively turn cancellations into opportunities to personalize marketing of upcoming programs based on HCP needs and interests.
• Update and maintain grand round program participant database, determining the frequency needed for these updates and additions.
• Provide support services for all marketing and recruitment of MLG’s programs.

Compliance:

• Demonstrates knowledge of, and carefully follows all applicable federal and state compliance requirements and regulations including those prescribed by the Department of Education, accrediting agencies, CIE, and internal UMA policies and procedures.
• Effectively communicates compliance requirements to students and other staff as appropriate and quickly escalates any compliance concerns to the Compliance department.

Work Experience, Skills & Abilities:
Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must have experience in and working knowledge of the healthcare industry, comfortable with basic medical terms, and ability to communicate effectively with physicians and administrators.
• Two years’ work experience in marketing, business administration, and/or healthcare industry
• Effective and resourceful in online research.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other business tools such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Diligent work ethic
• Able to professionally communicate fluently in verbal and written English with strong verbal and written communication skills
• Able to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities
• Self-starter and team player with excellent interpersonal skills
• Able to work from home and manage time appropriately
• Able to support a diverse and inclusive work environment

Preferred Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or other advanced educational degree
• Email Marketing experience a plus (Salesforce, Constant Contact, etc)
• Customer service experience

Working Environment:

• Home Office
• Up to 15% of travel required – Valid Driver’s License required
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
