Ulster BOCES Hiring for Adult Education Instructor: Welding Job at Port Ewen, NY Full Time

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Instructor teaches entry-level skills such as cutting and soldering, and drawing and welding symbol interpretation.
More advanced instruction includes arc welding and metal fabrication, and welding health and safety.

WORK SCHEDULE:
Two nights per week, 6 pm – 9 pm, December – June.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

Prepare lectures and instructional activities
Arrange for needed materials with office staff to support classroom instruction
Prepare, administer and grade exams to measure student progress
Arrive at classroom at least 15 minutes before the start of classes and remain until all students depart
Available to respond to student questions immediately before and after class
Maintain all attendance records and required documentation for the apprenticeship program

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalency, five years experience in the field preferred.
