Uline Hiring for Instructional Designer – Customer Service (North of Chicago) at Chicago, IL Full Time

Position Responsibilities

Design and develop learning solutions and training programs (classroom, eLearning, video) for Uline’s Customer Service team.

Diagnose learning needs for target audiences and empathize with intended learners.

Develop high-quality materials (eLearning tools, facilitation materials, participant guides, job aids, video) in alignment with Uline’s brand and design standards.

Measure effectiveness of training programs to ensure they meet desired goals.

Test and problem-solve functionality. Resolve functionality issues and requests.

Distill complex ideas into appealing visual graphics and stories using creativity and clear, concise, simple copywriting.

Track latest trends in instructional design and technologies.

Identify and develop new procedures and techniques to improve training and operational effectiveness. Create standards for consistent delivery.

Provide facilitation support as needed.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, instructional technology, adult education or related field.

3+ years experience as an instructional designer.

3+ years experience in the customer service industry preferred.

Mastery of eLearning tools; Articulate Storyline preferred.

Experience with rapid-authoring tools, such as Articulate Rise, audio and video editing tools and workflows.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
