To take a key role in the support and development of UKRI network systems. Working with the wider UKRI network support team to maintain efficient, reliable, and secure networks across UKRI.
The network landscape within UKRI is currently undergoing substantial change, with the rollout of a multi-tenant network (MTN) architecture across UKRI sites. This core network is running across our head office and several branches and is being rolled out to further locations. As UKRI moves towards a more cloud-based infrastructure, integrity and performance of our network is becoming of prime importance.
The network is protected by multiple firewalls across our offices and in our Azure tenant. These require management to ensure they are working optimally. We also look after firewalls and WAN connections across the country and internationally.
