The purpose of the role is to lead all Early Careers recruitment work across all UK Research and Innovation councils to include Graduates, Industrial & Summer Placements and Apprenticeships. We’re looking for somebody who is able to develop and improve the early careers campaigns that are inclusive and continue to meet the needs of the organisation.

We are looking for a proactive individual who is always looking to improve our assessment methodology to ensure the selection of high quality talent whilst maintaining a strong focus on ED&I. You will work collaboratively to lead our relationship and processes improvement activity with our service provider (UKSBS). Continuing to grow existing relationships with universities, local colleges and schools to ensure a pipeline of high quality talent is also an important part of the role.

As an experienced recruiter, you will be comfortable creating a social media plan to support the attraction of talent to our programmes and adept at organising and hosting events such as careers fairs, assessment centres and keeping in touch activities.

As an experienced people manager, you will be supporting, where required, the continual development of the early careers resourcing team. We are also looking for someone to directly support the relevant Early Careers programme leads across UKRI, ensuring that recruitment plans and approaches are congruent with programme aims and workforce planning requirements.

Responsibilities

Essential Knowledge and Experience:

• Strong Early Careers knowledge, experience within a complex organisation and an understanding of the issues around Graduate and undergraduate talent acquisition
• Knowledge of the Graduate and Apprenticeship space including opportunities, threats, trends and competition
• Attraction campaign development and management experience
• Experience of managing and delivering projects and/or campaigns; including working with multiple partners, both internally and externally.
• Leading high volume resourcing campaigns.
• Experience of managing a team during busy periods
