UGI Utilities, Inc Hiring for Meter Shop – Administrative Assistant Full Time

Job Summary

Serve as administrator for UGI’s Central Meter shop. Duties include creating and tracking UGI Utilities’ meter, volume corrector, and ERT purchases, RMAs, deliveries, and receipts; communicating with meter and associated meter device suppliers; performing data entry/input; tracking, verifying, and maintaining all records on meter locations and inventories, device test records, and corrector calibrations; monitoring the UGI meter database on a daily basis and responding to inquiries from other departments such as Customer Billing, Compliance, and Operations concerning meter information and correcting inconsistencies as needed; conducting annual inventory audits; and entering time sheets for meter shop technicians.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform daily monitoring of UGI’s Reject Register within SAP ECC BPEM cases and research and correct items on register including incorrect meter condemnations, meter test rejections, incorrect meter locations, incorrect meter status, and all tenant rejections such as incorrect account numbers or addresses. This includes responding to phone and email inquiries from UGI Customer Billing, Compliance, Operations, and vendors and researching meters in UGI’s database to resolve meter information inconsistencies and insure accurate information exists for billing and inventory purposes.
• Analyze historical meter and device inventory usage to forecast annual inventory needs for all equipment managed by the Central Meter Shop. Coordinate, order & track shipments of all equipment/materials for the Central Meter Shop and process all corresponding paperwork including requisitions and RMA returns. Manage the shipments of meter and device inventories to UGI locations and ensure accurate inventory records are maintained including paper shipping sheets, paper set cards, paper meter requisition forms, and the information maintained in the SAP application. Create all meter inventory moves, acceptances and shipments in MIGO and Goods Receipts SAP programs.
• Validate daily meter test records are electronically updated and accurately transferred into permanent electronic databases. Monitor and enter all field meter test, fixed factor test, and corrector test information into the SAP system. Spot check all computer-generated test information for accuracy. Assist outside departments with SAP testing inquiries. Assist measurement field technicians with meter inquiries.
• Process all meter requests from each operation’s area, schedule meter shipments with the Reading Storeroom and update all associated records. Conduct yearly audit of meter inventory and reconcile inventory records.
• Track and schedule meter shop and company measurement equipment calibrations and certifications. File test records by meter serial number including corrector test cards, meter test cards, fixed factor regulator test cards, meter set cards.
• Enter daily time sheets for Central Meter Shop employees in R2. Reconcile personal expense s in Concur.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• In depth knowledge of UGI software systems such as but not limited to SAP ECC, Connect, R2, and Concur.
• Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills and knowledge.
• A fundamental understanding of how these systems interact with UGI field activities.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the utility industry preferred.
