UCLA Health Hiring for Medical Assistant – Family Health Center at Santa Monica, CA Full Time
Qualifications
Required:
- Must possess the following active certifications: Medical Assistant Certification, Phlebotomy Certification and CPR/BLS Certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
- Ability to accurately perform and document vital signs and anthropometric measures.
- Competency in administering medications
- Ability to recognize abnormal vital signs
- Ability to recognize abnormal laboratory values and immediately to the ordering, providing and attending physician
- Knowledge of symptomatology of common and/or life-threatening medical problems
- Interpersonal skills to maintain a cooperative working environment with all members of the health team
- Skill in performing phlebotomy, CPR, injections, and other skills within scope of practice
- Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills and the ability to use computerized patient care systems
- Knowledge of all instruments and supplies to assist providers to efficiently perform physical examinations and/or procedure Preferred:
- Working experience in Family Medicine and/or Internal Medicine
- English/Spanish bilingual
