UCLA Health Hiring for Continuing Education Manager Job at Los Angeles, CA Full Time

Under the direction of the Administrative Director, you will be directly responsible for the planning, implementing, evaluating and analyzing educational activities sponsored by the Office of Continuing Medical Education ensuring compliance with University policies and Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), American Medical Association (AMA), American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) standards and applicable legal mandates.

This full-time hybrid CE Accreditation Manager establishes and fosters positive relationships with stakeholders and team members. Responsible for identifying new CE partnership opportunities, financial oversight of activity budgets, management of Regularly Scheduled Series (RSS) tracking and compliance, and identifying innovative approaches to education management and experiences.

• Education and experience equivalent to a college degree.
• At least three (3) years with experience in continuing medical education (CME) or hospital accreditation environment.
• Demonstrated experience with accreditation requirements and standards from Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical
• Education (ACCME) and American Medical Association (AMA).
• Familiar with California legislative requirements for physician continuing education.
• Experience working with education management systems to manage accredited education, learner, faculty, and financial records (e.g., CME Tracker, Oracle-based systems, Ethos CE)
• Experience with MS O365 applications desktop and web-based: Outlook, Excel, Word, Publisher, Teams, Planner.
• Experience with facilitating Zoom meetings
• Experience with project management software (e.g., MS Planner, Trello)

• Ability to manage multiple projects and programs concurrently at various stages, with the ability to effectively prioritize deliverables and commitments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with ACCME’s Program and Activity Reporting Systems (PARS).
• Experience with the accreditation process, disclosure management, conflicts of interest management, and reporting requirements.
• Experience with the different types of American Medical Association (AMA) education formats and the accreditation requirements.
• Solid understanding of administrative analysis, process, workflows, and systems management skills.
• Ability to establish and foster relationships with team members and clients with various communication styles.
• Basic understanding of the Maintenance of Certification/Continuous Certification Part II requirements.
