UCLA Health Hiring for Accounting Assistant Job at Los Angeles, CA Full Time

• Performing various administrative responsibilities in supporting the daily departmental operations responsible for accurate analysis (transaction/vendor activity) and timely payment of invoices
• Providing accounts payable user expertise as an active member of the EMPAC Lawson and Ascend Scanner Accounts Payable support team
• Acting a liaison between Requestors, Material management, SPD and vendors
• Performing on-line accounting data entry/transactions for assigned vendor (1200-1500 invoices/month), maintain and update department vendor files via the IS department
• Identifying, collecting, researching, analyzing and solving (trouble-shooting) AP issues
• Reconciling vendor statements
• Providing administrative and clerical support

• Associates degree in Accounting/Finance/Business desired or equivalent of 2+ years’ experience in an integrated Accounts Payable environment preferred
• Strong technical, analytical and computer skills
• Experience with computerized Accounts Payable, accurate Data Entry, Rapid 10-key, Excel/Access/Word, Detailed-oriented and Customer service oriented.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to establish and maintain professional working relationships and communicate (oral/written) effectively with extensive contacts (internal/external)
