UC Davis Health Hiring for Lead Operator at Sacramento, CA Full Time

Operator Services is part of the Plant Operations & Maintenance (PO&M) Department who has the responsibility to maintain UCDHS buildings, utilities, and grounds at the UC Davis Health System. The PO&M Department consists of approximately 150 staff members providing support to operations and maintenance of the hospital, clinical, medical education, research and administration buildings and grounds that includes 148 acres and structures that total 4 million GMSF.

Responsibilities

As a Lead Operator, you will assist with the hiring and primary trainer of proper technics and procedures of handling all types of call for new and existing operators, handle various department administrative duties, and act as lead for all daily activities. In addition, you will provide directory assistance to incoming callers.

Required Qualifications

• Experience in a lead or administrative support role.
• Experience in a call center or similar high call volume type environment.
• Experience answering multi-line phones.
• Experience and knowledge, using two-way radio and proper radio etiquette.
• Prior customer service experience.
• Experience with communicating via telephone and in person in a clear, mature, cooperative, informative, and diplomatic manner with staff, physicians, executives, and general public.

Special Requirements

• Must be available (flexible) to work variable shifts, days, overtime, and/or additional hours (holidays and weekends included) for a 24 hour per day, 7 day per week operation.
• Available to go through a minimum of a four (4) week training program.
• This position may be subject to a criminal background investigation, drug screen, Live Scan fingerprinting, medical evaluation clearance, and functional capacity assessment.
