We’re looking for a Qualified Accountant to:
- Provide accounting advice to our Business Divisions (Investment Bank, Global Wealth Management and Asset Management) and Group Functions on transactions and M&A activities. This gives you the opportunity to understand the businesses, their challenges and objectives, and work together to find practical solutions.
- Work within virtual teams across Finance and beyond, on a variety of projects, for example, implementing new accounting standards or sustainability reporting requirements, collaborating with other Group Accounting Policy (GAP) team members from around the world.
- Other responsibilities will include;
i. Representing UBS in industry accounting forums
ii. Advising multiple stake holders on accounting issues impacting our quarter and annual reports
iii. Performing deep dives for senior management
iv. Developing and presenting training materials to a wide audience within Finance
Your team
You’ll be part of the Group Accounting Policy team in London and globally. We are a team of subject matter experts with a wealth of experience that advises and fully supports all Business Divisions within the Group on IFRS, US and Swiss accounting issues
Your expertise
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with a university degree
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience post qualification
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with staff at all levels
- A pragmatic and pro-activity mentality are key
