Job Description
The Casting Specialist will support production and the motion capture department by casting and coordinating talent for voice over sessions, motion capture shoots, and face scans.
The daily life of a Casting Specialist at Ubisoft Toronto:
Working with our production teams to assess casting needs and propose talent for performance capture and voice-over sessions.
Create workback schedules pertaining to casting.
Send out breakdowns, select candidates and schedule auditions.
Book audition facilities and ensure logistics of the auditions run smoothly.
Direct talent during casting sessions and call backs.
Provide production with casting feedback/shortlist after each casting session.
Contact talent or agents to check availability and book talent.
Provide quotes for talent and casting budgets.
Send offers and draft/negotiate talent and services agreements (including US and overseas performers).
Schedule meetings with actors, managers, agents, etc.
Provide support to production and facilitate all casting needs.
Coordinate documentation for talent immigration purposes.
Arrange travel and send materials to performers.
Greet talent and ensure they have everything needed for their session.
Create and ensure talent contracts, timesheets and NDAs are signed. File work s, contracts, and follow-up with finance.
Build and maintain relationships with talent, agents, directors, ACTRA, AFBS, etc.; and
Create and maintain actor tracking lists and databases; Carry out all other related tasks.
Qualifications

Able to work at the speed of the business and meet tight deadlines.
Strong interest in casting.
Strong knowledge of Office Suite (Excel, Word, TEAMS etc.) + familiarity with project management software (e.g., Click Up, Jira).
Basic audio editing skills.
Basic understanding of how to operate a video camera (framing, focus, etc.).
Excellent time management.
Exceptional problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with ACTRA preferred.
5+ years of experience casting for voice-over, film or television productions or talent agency(ies).
Diploma or Degree in project management, audio, film/TV production or any other related field.
