U-Drive Ltd Hiring for Accounting Assistant Job at Poole, England Full Time

Established over 35 years ago, U-Drive is a family run company. With 8 branches and a fleet of over 3000 vehicles, U-Drive Ltd is considered the largest wholly independent vehicle rental company in the Southwest.

We are currently look to recruit a positive and friendly individual with a Can do attitude. Reporting into the Head of Finance you will be working 37½ hours per week.

What You’ll Need to Succeed
To be successful in this role, you will ideally be an experienced Accounts Assistant with a minimum of Level 3 AAT qualifications. In addition, you will need to have:

• An analytical and problem solver mind-set
• Attention to detail
• Excellent organisation and time management skills
• A customer service attitude and the ability to clearly articulate information
• Strong IT skills; Microsoft Office and accounting software
• AAT Level 4 or equivalent is preferred but not essential for this role

As this is a small and friendly team, being a team-player is key, as well as being a good communicator and able to use your own initiative and challenge information or data.

Duties will Include, but are not restricted to:

• Process vehicle sales invoices
• Settle finance on vehicles sold and send clearance off to customers
• Chase outstanding monies on vehicle sales invoices
• Process new vehicle purchases
• Submit vehicle schedules to HP companies for funding
• Reconcile the Asset Register and outstanding vehicle sales invoices to Access Dimensions
• Post all HP payments to Access throughout the month, ensuring interest and capital is taken into account
• Monthly sales reports
• Month end reports
• Finance commission analysis
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Resolve queries arising from phone calls and emails.
• Supporting all members of the team as and when required
• Adhoc duties as and when required by your Line Manager
