This is an interesting and varied role working within a busy team who provide comprehensive support to all of our operational services. This role will involve;
Working closely with key stakeholders to provide advice, support and guidance to enable the organisation to develop a workforce that can deliver our strategic goals.
Coaching the managers on all aspects of recruitment, employee relations, staff welfare, performance management and training.
Responsibility for managing a member of the team and being the expert within the team for day-to-day operational queries.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Advice – advise managers on all HR matters
Employee Relations – manage complex employee relations casework, liaising with our legal representatives as required
HR Policies – ensure knowledge of all HR policies, work with our legal provider to monitor all HR policies to ensure they are in line with current legislation
Recruitment – work with managers in recruitment and selection
Coaching – guide managers regarding the organisation’s practices and processes
Training – coach managers to develop their people management skills. Identify and deliver training needs, particularly management development
TUPE – manage the HR process in relation to tenders and TUPE projects
Health and safety – ensure the welfare of all staff regarding all matters of health and safety matters, advise employees and managers as appropriate
System – maintain the HR system in an accurate, timely and professional way
Management Information – analyse and report on our key performance indicators
Team – support and coach other HR team members. Work as part of the team on other HR led initiatives and projects
Processes – identify process improvements to help the team deliver our key performance indicators
Management – provide management for member(s) of the team
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA FOR ROLE (Minimum requirements on appointment to this job)
CIPD qualified, or equivalent qualification through experience
2 years’ experience across all aspects of HR
An excellent communicator
IT literate/competent
Customer focussed
Organised, strong attention to detail and an ability to prioritise
Up-to-date knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
Experience of managing and working to key performance indicators
Experience of managing others
