Location: Australia, 100% remote working / work from home (MUST LIVE PERMANENTLY IN AUSTRALIA & HAVE THE RIGHT TO WORK WITHOUT RESTRICTIONS)

Contract: 12-month self employed contract, You will be responsible for your own taxes etc. (This is likely to be renewed)

Pay Rate: $30-$36 AUD/Per hour

Like to hustle? Ambitious and proactive? We’re looking for the right person to join the entrepreneurial teams which comprise Twinkl’s core customer segments. You will be responsible for supporting the ongoing development and growth of our Australia Secondary Teachers community.

As Secondary Segment Manager, you will be responsible for the marketing of our secondary product, communicating with customers via a variety of different communication channels to highlight and demonstrate the benefits of Twinkl’s Australia Secondary Teaching products and resources. You’ll need to take a rapid iterative approach, employing different marketing and business development techniques to get the message out to customers. You will be supported in this role by a Marketing Assistant who you will directly manage.

As Segment Manager, you will also be responsible for overseeing the production of secondary teaching resources, as well as being an integral part of this process. You will lead a team of three Teacher Content Writer/Editors in the development of new secondary teaching resources, and will also contribute to the writing and editing processes. You will work with the production team to devise long and short term production development goals, as well as work closely with Twinkl Cares, our customer care service, to respond to customer feedback and requests. You’ll be the person responsible for defining, building and managing the content production team to support user growth within the Australia Secondary Teachers customer segment.

You will also be responsible for the development and maintenance of the secondary component of the Twinkl website and will be supported in this role by an SEO Executive and Digital Copywriter with whom you will work closely to enhance the overall Twinkl user experience and increase the website’s visibility online.

You will be commercially minded and comfortable in making decisions on where to pursue opportunities. You will be responsible for daily data analysis and reporting, as well as monthly and quarterly reporting in line with business expectations.

This is a very varied role that involves both proactive strategic planning and reactive work as you pivot and respond to the demands of your growing market.

Ongoing projects/how you’ll spend your day

• Showing tenacity and drive, and going above and beyond to reach new customers and build your segment.
• Sales and digital marketing – spreading the word to new customers, whom we can help and support by managing our Secondary Teachers’ social media activity and making sure the right messages reach our customers at the right time.
• Digital optimisation – looking at the overall user experience of the Australia Secondary Teachers area of the Twinkl site and working with our web and design teams to continuously improve this
• Business management and strategy – putting plans in place to help achieve our ambitious growth targets. Working with other Segment and Country Managers to understand what’s working and how we can improve.
• Resource production – from writing teacher content, to editing, to overseeing illustration and design, and uploading resources to the website

Requirements

• Jon Seaton (CEO) – Twinkl’s co-founder and CEO will be your co-hustler and help you grow through his experience – as well as helping to break down barriers.

You will manage:

• A Marketing Assistant
• A production team consisting of content writers and editors
