Twelve South is a Charleston-based company specializing in designing and selling branded accessories for consumer electronics, computers and mobile devices, including Apple. Our products are sold around the world in Apple Store, Amazon, Best Buy, and at TwelveSouth.com. We are actively recruiting a dynamic Sales Operations Manager to revolutionize and optimize our sales game in the consumer electronics and home office accessories industry. As a key player in our team, you’ll be at the forefront of streamlining processes, implementing sales strategies, and ensuring seamless collaboration across sales, channels, marketing, logistics, and accounting.

You’ll to our Director of Global Sales and direct a team of two. As the right hand of the Director, you’ll need to be based in our HQ office located in Charleston, SC. The Sales Operations Manager will play an essential role in increasing sales productivity, implementing our company’s sales execution plan and driving operational excellence to achieve the greatest results possible. The role requires strong analytical skills, leadership capabilities, and a focus on continuous improvement to drive our sales team’s success.

We’re looking for a highly driven, motivated sales focused individual who acts as a thought leader operationally, tracking success criteria and performance metrics, enabling the entire sales organization to achieve business goals efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate is someone who loves creating alignment and action across teams, moving roadblocks, and lives for big challenges.

What you’ll do:

• Collaborate with the Director of Sales to develop and implement winning sales strategies and tactics to meet defined sales objectives.
• Evaluate and optimize sales processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Be the guiding force for our global sales team, providing leadership and support.
• Engage in regular calls with the sales team, ensuring alignment with sales strategy and resolving customer issues effectively.
• Properly communicate with and set customer expectations on product availability and order status.
• Research and implement best practices, automation tools, and CRM systems to streamline workflows.
• Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitor data to identify growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with the Sales Analyst to develop KPIs, tracking progress towards sales goals.
• Analyze sales data, metrics, and KPIs to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Provide detailed analysis and s that track sales performance and provide insights to management.
• Assist in the creation of annual sales budgets and forecasts. Monitor actual sales performance against budgeted targets and make recommendations for necessary adjustments.
• Identify areas for cost control and revenue enhancement.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing, finance, and operations, to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
• Address any cross-functional issues that may impact sales performance.
• Attend industry events to meet with customers and provide in-person sales training.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field
• Proven experience in sales operations for a product company. Management of a sales operations team strongly preferred.
• In-depth understanding of operational processes for sales, including strategies for retail and distribution representatives.
• Experience forecasting sales, developing sales territories, incentive and compensation plans, partner incentives, etc.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
