Tweed Shire Council Hiring for Accountant – Corporate Planning Job at Murwillumbah Full Time

A great opportunity exists to join a team who ensure our long term financial services are in good hands. This role will see you using your analysis and reporting skills to provide high level assistance to the Senior Accountants.

About the role:

• Assist in the development and reporting of Council’s Integrated Planning and Reporting framework and associated documentation
• Assist in the development, co-ordination and administration of Council’s service plans; budget/long term financial plans; corporate reporting and various software solutions including Cascade and Magiq Performance
• Coordinates/facilitates performance/service level reviews and audit services, and business process improvement
• Assist in the administration of the Technology One Core Enterprise Suite and the Council payroll function
• Manages and reviews Council’s activity based costing processes for inclusion in the operational budgets.

We are seeking:

• Degree level qualifications in Business, Accounting or Commerce
• Ability to interpret and implement current NSW local government Integrated Planning & Reporting legislation, accounting standards and practices
• Competence in personal computer software including spreadsheet applications

Essential:
