Who We Are

Tutor Doctor offers private, in-home and online tutoring for all subjects and age groups, including pre-K to adult students. We are seeking a compassionate, patient and organized tutor to help students prepare for upcoming exams and assist in their studies. As a tutor, you will work directly with students, either individually or in groups, to help them understand subject material and improve their grades. Your goal is to make our students feel comfortable learning, understanding and retaining information. You should have strong communication skills to convey your ideas, as well as patience and flexibility while working with students of different ages, backgrounds and abilities. Ultimately, we want you to help our students reach their full academic potential.

Our Process

We start with a free consultation for our families which enables us to assess the specific needs, personalities, and objectives of each student so we can then customize a program just for them. With this information, we come back to our roster of tutors to make the perfect match! Our tutors are passionate about teaching, highly qualified in their subject matter and rigorously screened.

Tutor Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years teaching and/or tutoring experience required

• College graduate, upper-level college student, and professional only. Teaching credentials are a plus.

• Great personality with the ability to build rapport with students and parents

• Strong computer skills

• Reliable transportation in order to travel to student homes or local libraries

• Access to the internet, a computer, and/or a smartphone
• Ability to provide a government-issued ID and pass a background check
