Title: Import Logistics Coordinator

s to: Senior Import Logistics Coordinator
Location: Christiansted, St. Croix, USVI
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 am to 5 pm
Status: Full-time, Regular, Exempt
Salary Range: $21.63/hour – $26.44/hour BOE (Based on Experience)

Summary:
The Import Logistics Coordinator (ILC) facilitates the receiving and storing, moving, and shipping of products and coordinating the timely flow of order processing. Responsible for making sure products are processed through the delivery system efficiently and safely.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinate importer security filings (ISF) including filing, review, entry, and sending documents for filing and contacting packers for errors.
• Process shipping documents including verification of FDA and SID numbers, banking information, and can dimensions; separate, file and errors on Food Canning Establishment filings.
• Monitor shipping containers to determine outstanding payments, status of container location and unloading status.
• Create alert and notify warehouses of incoming shipments including container numbers, product being shipped, and estimated arrival date.
• Ensure shipping containers have been retrieved and unloaded in a timely manner.
• Support vendor relationship management including setting up new vendors in Great Plains (GP) system, responding to vendor requests, and filing damage claims with vendors.
• Perform clerical duties including answering calls, faxing, scanning, and copying documents, and monitoring and processing emails.
• Communicate with truckers and warehouse once containers are available for pick up with LFD and return dates.
• Prepare grading forms for USDA grading and inspections of products.
• Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

• High School Diploma plus 5 years of experience

Physical Demands:

• Essential functions of the position require the employee to use work at a standard computer terminal and be able to follow reasonable ergonomic recommendations, sit for long periods of time, repetitive motions, and use a telephone.
