How you will make an impact…

You will be a part of the team responsible for delivering and developing tools to get data to customers. You will work with the customer success and product development teams to standardize how we deliver data products and ensure they are available on time.

Our stack

Our day to day operations have us using Docker containers for local development, Jenkins to manage script builds, and Airflow on Google Cloud Composer to run the jobs on schedule.

Day to Day

In this position you will take in requirements from teams and customers in order to find an optimal solution that meets their needs. Jobs need to be written so they are easily scalable, can be tested for consistency, and have monitoring to ensure that product issues are caught. This means that you get to work on all the aspects of the pipeline such as scripting, builds, writing tests, product scaling, product implementation, and environment management among others.

Ability to analyze and assess software requirements

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Education and Experience

2+ years of general development experience

General Python knowledge

Experience with writing database queries

Experience writing testable code

Knowledge of build pipelines (eg. Jenkins)

Basic understanding of Cloud Platforms (eg. GCP, AWS, or Azure)

Experience with basic monitoring tools

Experience with environment control scripting (eg. Docker / Docker Compose / Terraform)

Education in a software development related field

Basic understanding of computer networks
