Turtle Power Tutoring is Looking for Online Math Tutor (Grades 6-12) Full Time

*Looking for Ontario, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Alberta & Northwest Territories qualified teachers
Are you a teacher looking to tutor from the comfort of your own home? We welcome passionate teachers to join our team to have the opportunity to help students be confident and resilient in their learning.

• You will provide support to students in Grades 6-12 Mathematics, helping them understand key concepts and assist them with homework
• You will promote a growth mindset and math confidence
• You will partner with your students’ families to create learning goals and provide updates on student progress as they work towards them
• You will build strong relationships with students and families, promoting long-term retention

What You Bring

• Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Education
• You work independently and are adaptable to any situation
• Solid communication skills (both oral and written) and proficiency in identifying and understanding various learning styles
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service, organizational and time management skills
• A demonstrated passion to help students reach their full potential
• Experience working with Zoom
• Must have access to a high quality internet connection and a Windows or Mac computer from which to tutor from

Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 5-15 per week

Salary: $26.00-$28.00 per hour

Experience:

• teaching: 1 year (preferred)
• tutoring: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Teaching Certificate (required)
