Turning Point is partnering with our client to find a talented Director of Finance & Administration to add to their team for their location in Everett, WA. This role reports to the CFO and is responsible for directing financial activities of the organization and supervising an Accounting and Finance Team for all accounting duties by performing duties personally or through subordinate employees. Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Fully responsible for the smooth operation of the company’s accounting, finance and analysis team, timely and efficiently meeting all established company’s business and team metrics, including taking responsibility for successfully and consistently satisfying established KPIs.
• Establishes, or recommends to management, corporate economic strategies, objectives, and policies for company.
• Recommends modifications to existing corporate programs.
• Prepares reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.
• Directs preparation of projections, reviews budget proposals, and prepares necessary supporting documentation and justification.
• Advises management about insurance coverage for protection against property losses and potential liabilities.
• Provides management with timely reviews of organization’s financial status and progress in its various programs and activities.
• Directs determination of depreciation rates to apply to capital assets.
• Advises management on desirable operational adjustments due to tax code revisions.
• Arranges for external review of company’s accounts.
• Prepares reports required by regulatory agencies.
• Maintains strong relations with company’s banks and other financial institutions.
• Oversees and manages team responsible for all A/P and A/R duties including preparing invoices, paying invoices, maintaining accurate accounting records, and entering bills for payment.
• Oversees and manages team responsible for all payroll duties including preparing accurate payroll, calculating overtime, and ensuring taxes and other deductions are appropriately handled.
• Supervises all year-end closing and reviews all taxes, W-2s, W-3’s and certified payroll.
• Acts as liaison with CITC.
• Manages the 401k Safe Harbor profit sharing program ensuring records and calculations are accurate.
• Mediates employee suggestions, complaints, and concerns about finances.
• Supervises contract insurance and licensing.
• Prepares reports such as ROIs, cash flow statements, balance sheets, general ledgers and income statements.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position manages the Accounting and Finance Team. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) or equivalent in accounting, economics or finance; or at least seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of, and experience working with, federal taxation and GAAP accounting principles are required.

Additional skills and/or prior experience include strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, the ability to be detail oriented and organized.’
