Are you looking to join a family run manufacturing business with huge growth potential? We are looking for a creative HR Advisor to join us in a stand alone position. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to come in and introduce brand new policies, benefit schemes whilst building on the family close team culture already in place.

Job Purpose:

To provide full range of HR services to the business with approx. 50 employees in total, split between manufacturing, warehouse, commercial and support departments.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

– Updating organisational charts

– Updating HR noticeboards

– Complete timesheets and payroll

– Maintain and update employee documents and database

– Analyse and report performance of employees

– Analyse and report time and attendance of employees

– Payroll queries

– Structure monthly reviews with supervisors and managers for all HR related processes, recruitment, absence, performance

– Plan, organise and document appraisals

– Continually review employee incentive & benefit structure

– Conducting absence and return to work meetings

– Facilitate/ conducting investigations, disciplinary & dismissal meetings

– Responding and managing employee grievances

– Guiding, advising and mentoring Supervisors/ middle management

– Liaise with HR consultancy (Peninsula) for legal advice & support

– Create, review & update job descriptions for new and existing roles

– Utilise internal and external digital resources (employment & career job boards) to locate talent

– Liaise and negotiate with recruitment agencies to locate talent

– Arrange, document and give feedback on the interview process

– Organise contract offers & conduct new starter induction process

– Scheduling probationary review dates, sending relevant paperwork to managers, tracking and confirming the outcome in a written and in-database format

Skills and Competencies

– Previous HR knowledge and experience ideally within a manufacturing environment

– Exceptional organisational skills

– A confident, logical & level-headed approach to HR

– Understanding & developing employee job satisfaction

– Confidence in one’s ability to manage conflict

– Perceptiveness and demonstration of good judgement

– Experience with payroll processes and software

– CIPD level 3 or equivalent

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £30,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
