We are looking for a Junior Accounts Apprentice to join our enthusiastic accounts team. This is a brilliant entry level position situated in a fast paced environment, within walking distance from Bath city centre. The position would be perfect for someone who has a keen interest in finance. This opportunity will provide you with the skills and qualifications required to start your accounting career.
We’ll be offering
In addition to in house training you will be released from your weekly duties to complete your AAT Level 2 Apprenticeship. Upon completion of your apprenticeship, we will be looking to progress you towards completing AAT Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Accounting.
Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Assisting with the posting of purchase ledger invoices
- Processing of employee expenses
- Processing of credit card statements
- Supplier statements reconciliations
- Answering the telephone
- Matching purchase orders against invoices in the finance system
- Dealing with incoming emails in connection with queries
- Assisting with bank reconciliations
Other tasks:
- Supporting other members of the team and participate in ad-hoc projects as required
- Meet deadlines of college/training provider
Person Specification:
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Applicants must have a grade C/4 or above in maths & English at GCSE level or equivalent
- Strong organisational skills
- Good time management and ability to work towards deadliness
- Highly numerate with good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel etc.) (preferred but not essential)

Things to consider
You must be able to get to and from your place of work in a safe and timely manner. Our office can be accessed by catching the X39 coming from Bristol, or alternatively by Train (Oldfield Park station approx. 10-minute walk).
