True North Millwright Services Hiring for 3rd/4th year millwright apprentice at Prince George, BC Full Time

• Good understanding of hydraulic systems, laser cutting systems, pumps, air compressors, mobile equipment, overhead cranes, piping, welding practices, and all other plant related equipment.

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience focusing on mechanical equipment maintenance

• Be able to handle items weighing 50 pounds. This includes lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning items.

• Demonstrate appropriate reading, clerical, and basic math skills, including the ability to understand written instructions, and perform routine calculations.

• Ability to work effectively and cohesively in a team environment.

• Must have a positive attitude, be willing to accept feedback

• Ability to work in a fast paced manufacturing environment

• The ability to maneuver in and around heavy equipment

• Excellent communication skills and enjoy working as part of a team

• The ability to work independently (self-manage)

• Welding and minor fabrication experience

• Your own tools (hand tools – Decent toolbox)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Adherence to all company safety policies

• Troubleshoot and repair all plant equipment

• Complete all assigned work in a timely manner

• Ability to work in a team and independently

• Analytical and troubleshooting skills

• Verify work completion with Supervisor/Head Millwright

• Complete all assigned training on time

• Installing and assembling equipment and supporting systems

• Performing maintenance, repairs and testing on our customers’ various types of equipment

• Completing some minor fabrication work

• Performing other duties as required

Job Types: Part-time, Casual, Apprenticeship

Salary: $24.00-$40.00 per hour
