Job Duties of the Seasonal Kitchen Manager:

• Creates and teaches recipes, menus and production standards
• Leads food prep and execution ensuring food service quality and guest satisfaction
• Leads preparation for special dietary needs for guest and staff
• Leads food execution and menu planning for special events
• Trains and supervises Seasonal Special Diet Interns
• Maintains budget, understanding and controlling of Food Service expenses
• Maintains cleanliness of equipment, kitchen and dining areas
• Manages inventory and orders food and supplies
• Leads and supervises Food Service and Hospitality staff
• Communicates Food Service updates and needs to supervisor
• Assists with check-ins, check-outs, guest follow-up, and other hospitality duties as needed
• Serves on committees and task forces as assigned
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications of the Seasonal Kitchen Manager:

• Must be able to pass an organizational background study
• Previous cooking/kitchen experience required
• Experience with large quantity cooking and special diets desirable
• Must be able to perform general accounting/budgeting functions
• Must have past supervisory/lead experience
• Strong customer service skills
• Organized with good time management skills
• Must have or be willing to acquire MN Department of Health Food Managers License
• Must have functional computer skills with basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
