Truckee Meadows Parks Foundation Hiring for Development Director at Reno, Nevada Full Time

Truckee Meadows Parks Foundation is looking for a skilled writer who loves telling stories for a full-time, permanent Development Director position. As a high-energy, outdoor-focused 501©3 non-profit, we protect and enhance our communities’ livability through public engagement, education, and the sustainability of our parks, trails, and open spaces. This is not your typical writing at your desk type job. While grant writing is a must, this person will also be out in the community giving tours at the Rosewood Nature Study Area, taking donors on guided hikes in the Reno/Tahoe area, hanging out with the kids at camp (which sometimes means snowboarding or paddle boarding), and discovering why our community loves and needs the outdoors.

This is a perfect position for someone who isn’t afraid of change and trying something new. Collaboration between departments is crucial, which means you get to be a part of multiple exciting projects and programs including the development of a nature study area and visitor center, establishing a regional trails plan, park infrastructure projects, and adding accessible features like access ramps to our parks and trails.
