JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Accountant is a key member of the accounting team. The Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting various aspects of accounting and finance, particularly preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, monthly and quarterly reporting packages, monthly journal entries and account reconciliations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Responsibilities:

· Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations.

· Participate in monthly balance sheet reviews.

· Assist in monthly preparation of the Company’s financial statements.

· Assist in monitoring compliance with controls and company procedures to ensure data integrity of all financial information.

· Assist in the year-end audit and associated requirements.

· Support special accounting projects as required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Business Requirements:

· Education and/or experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and 3+ years of experience in public accounting or a similar environment.

· CPA preferred.

· Strong financial and analytical acumen including the ability to synthesize complex problems and collaborate to explore alternative solutions.

· Ability to manage multiple assignments, setting and balancing competing priorities and tight timelines with strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.

· Ability to understand and follow all company policies and procedures and all applicable State and Federal laws.

· Ability to use typical business tools including E-Mail, Word, Advance Excel (Pivot Tables and Macros), Sales Tax software, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, etc.

People Requirements:

· Ability to communicate complex concepts effectively across multiple mediums (verbally, through email, etc.), including experience communicating and presenting to senior leadership/c-suite level.

· Strong customer service skills, including an ability to proactively address internal and external customer issues and concerns and ability to forge strong working relationships with various departments.

· Ability to understand opposing points of view on highly complex issues and to negotiate and integrate different viewpoints.
