Trottin-Trottinette is Looking for Autism Support Worker Full Time

Working to support an awesome but challenged child with developmental delays and Autism. We require a support worker that is engaged and interacting, is patient, kind and respectful. This job requires full supervision and interaction with the child.

Role:

Duties include but not limited to: interacting and playing (100% of your focus must be on/with the client), not minding being outside in the rain, snow, or sun (dress appropriately and it can be fun for you too), assistance with feeding at times, assistance with dressing, cleaning up after activities.

Qualifications:

Knowledge and experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, physical disabilities, mental health concerns and behaviours

• Diploma or training in autism
• An understanding of the needs and barriers faced by individuals with various abilities especially with autism
• Command of English language with ability to communicate effectively and complete daily documentation, French is an asset
• Ability to understand and follow health care plans, personal protocols, schedules, and activities
• Ability to follow policies and procedures, including health and safety policies
• Knowledge and experience with community resources, integration, and teaching life skills
• The physical ability to perform all the duties required of the position

Hours of Work & Salary:

4hours per day from Monday to Friday.

$26 per hour
