Trit House Hiring for Junior Web Developer Job at Dandenong Full Time

Trit House is a specialist furniture retailer with stores in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, supplying contemporary and high-end quality furniture to local and nationwide customers. We are looking for a Junior position based in Dandenong South VIC, to join a great team in a very busy and well-established business.

If you’re passionate about eCommerce and looking to start your career in web development. This position is a great opportunity for you to learn and develop career-ready skills. To be eligible you’ll need to be experienced with web development, or you ‘ll need to be currently studying or recently completed a course in related fields for the internship position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Hands-on development of websites, which includes development of HTML/CSS/JS based on wireframes and visual designs, and implementation of commercial and open source web technologies
• Development of dynamic and engaging web functionality and eCommerce using JavaScript and libraries
• Proactively report, test, debug and optimize company websites.
• Turn visual or non-visual concept into responsive web pages
• Rapidly prototype ideas in order to learn what works and how to elevate concepts to the next level
• Work closely internally as technology advisor to help guide project scope
• Thoroughly test your work on multiple browsers and mobile devices and ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
• Demonstrate effective communication with fellow team members and management

We’re looking for candidates with:

• Strong proficiency with HTML5, CSS3 & JavaScript and jQuery.
• Experience with PHP, Mysql, Apache, Nginx, AWS is a plus.
• Experience with Drupal, Magento, Wordpress and Shopify is a bonus.
• Experience writing code from scratch
• Experience using Photoshop/Illustrator or similar software
• Experience testing and debugging work on multiple browsers & screen sizes
• Thrive in a fast-paced working environment, owning deadlines, prioritizes and striving for efficiency
• Familiarity with github and comfortable working with projecting management tracking software
• Working knowledge of design principles, typography, user interfaces, Web standards and usability
• Familiar with interaction design and information architecture methods and principles
• Able to communicate effectively in English
