Design Manager – Civil Engineering – Birmingham
We are currently looking for an experienced civil engineering design manager to join our team.
The company specializes in large-scale civil engineering projects in the areas of Roads and Rail The senior design manager will liaise between the designers and the site teams to look at and come up with solutions and buildability.
Reporting to the Senior Design Manager you will be managing the design management function for a £20mi section of works. You will ideally be degree qualified in civil engineering and ideally, be working towards charter ship status as the role will entail being able to question design and being able to suggest solutions and cost savings as well as value engineering. The position may be suitable for someone who is currently doing a similar role or who wishes to transfer from site to a more technical role but understands design procedures.
